Anachnu

Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Anachnu…

What is Anachnu?
Anachnu is the Seventh and Eighth Grade youth group at Temple Isaiah. Our programs encourage positive social interactions in a Jewish setting and with a Jewish peer group. The youth group offers exciting events that emphasize new experiences and encourage both personal independence and group cooperation. Please read this information carefully and call us if you have any questions. We’re going to have a great year and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you!

Membership
All members of Temple Isaiah who are in seventh or eighth grade are automatically members of Anachnu. Only members of Temple Isaiah are eligible to participate in Anachnu events.

Medical Information and Liability Release Forms
Anachnu does not require a separate Medical Information and Liability Release Form for each event. We have included a blanket form in this mailing. Please complete it and return it even if you are not attending the kickoff event so we will have it on file for future events. However, we do require a form separate from the Religious School and Camp Medical/Liability forms for legal reasons. For most events, receipt of your check will constitute your registration for the event. If you do not complete and return the Form in this packet, it will be your responsibility to contact the Youth Department office at (925) 284-9191 and request a form in advance of the event you wish to attend. No one will be allowed to participate in any Anachnu event without having completed and returned a Medical Information and Liability Release Form to us.

Anachnu Code of Conduct
In order to clarify Anachnu’s rules and regulations for 2006-2007, we have included a copy of the Anachnu Code of Conduct in this packet (it is on the opposite side of the medical release form). Please complete it and return it to us with your Medical Information and Release Form. If you do not complete and return the Code of Conduct form in this packet, it will be your responsibility to contact the Youth Department office at (925) 284-9191 and request a form in advance of the event you wish to attend. No one will be allowed to participate in any Anachnu event without having completed and returned a Code of Conduct to us.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Any written or phone cancellation received before the registration deadline for an event shall entitle the participant to a 100% refund. Any such cancellation received after the deadline, but more than 24 hours before the beginning of the event, shall entitle the participant to a 50% credit towards a future event. For any cancellation received less than 24 hours before an event, the participant shall forfeit all fees. Any event for which there is an exception to this policy (such as the Los Angeles Trip) shall have such exception explained on the original event flyer. All exceptions to this policy are at the discretion of the Youth Department staff.

Mailing List
If you would like to be removed from the Anachnu mailing list, please give us a call at (925) 284-9191 and let us know.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off
Unless otherwise indicated on an event flyer, all drop-off for events takes place in the Youth Lounge and all pick-up should be from the front of the Talmud Torah Center. Under no circumstances may youth group members be picked up from the bottom of the driveway or anywhere on Risa Rd.
