Offsite in the Mount Diablo foothills at Castle Rock Recreation Area. To reach the park: Exit I-680 on Ygnacio Valley Rd. in Walnut Creek and drive east. After about 3 miles turn right on Walnut Ave. After about 2 miles turn right on Oak Grove Road, then bear right onto Castle Rock Road and follow it to the Orchard Staging area on the right. There is informal parking near the park entrance at the end of Castle Rock Road.

Just as the Israelites stood at Mt. Sinai to receive the Torah, we too will join together at the foot of Mt. Diablo for an interactive, intergenerational Shavuot celebration and dinner. Please join us for games, study, and fun for all ages. Bring a picnic blanket and dinner for your family.

Following Temple Isaiah’s Shavuot on the Mountain, the congregation is invited to Tikkun Layal Shavuot: a Special Night of Study at 8pm at Congregation B’nai Shalom, 74 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek. Study sessions will be led by Rabbi Roberto Graetz and Rabbi Alissa Forrest of Temple Isaiah, Rabbi Dan Goldblatt of Beth Chaim Congregation, and Rabbi Michelle Fisher of Congregation B’nai Shalom. Everyone welcome.
