Chaverim (friends) – In order for us to plan enough seating and food for all our wonderful programs, we depend on your prompt RSVP’s for our programs. For any program, involving a meal or a fee, please respond to Mary Anne Winig, Adult Program Coordinator, in the office at 925-283-8575, ext. 301 or mawinig at temple dash isaiah dot org at least seventy-two hours (3 days) before the scheduled program. If you are replying by e-mail, please put the name and date of the program in the subject line. Your diligence with this RSVP procedure will be greatly appreciated and make meal preparations and set-up easier for us all. Todah rabbah! (Thank you!)
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 12th, and join us for Temple Isaiah ‘s annual Tikkun in the Community: A Day of Repair and Renewal (previously known as Mitzvah day). Due to the thoughtful planning of this year’s co-chairs, Anita Weil, Nadav Rave and their committee, October 12th is sure to be one of the most rewarding and significant day-long community based projects Temple Isaiah has ever seen.
With a fresh name change and revamped activities, Tikkun in the Community has a wide range of meaningful projects. The variety of genres and dozens of organizations give you the opportunity to feel passionate about a cause and leave with the inspiration to continue playing your part in the community.
Whether you would like to participate in an activity related to children and education, adults and the elderly, the homeless and needy, advocacy, or health and heeling, there’s sure to be something for you. Signups will start in late August, look in your mailbox and email for future information.
