Family Israel Trip

Temple Isaiah Family Trip to Israel

June 11-21, 2017

Experience the holiness of Jerusalem’s Old City. Explore the sites you have only read about in the Bible. Float in the Dead Sea. Discover Jewish mysticism in Safed. Celebrate Shabbat in Jerusalem. Connect with other Temple Isaiah families.

Your family can experience all this and more on a family trip to Israel with Rabbi Alissa Miller.  The trip will be geared to families with children kindergarten-12th grade, but we encourage all ages.  Children who will be between 12-14 years old at the time of the trip can chose to become a bar/bat mitzvah on the trip.  Contact Rabbi Miller if you are interested in this option.

Temple Isaiah Family Trip to Israel - Summer 2019

After a successful family trip to Israel in December 2014 and the excitement of a trip this summer, we are starting to plan the next Family Trip to Israel for the Summer 2019 which will include an opportunity for children to become Bar/Bat Mitzvah.  This family Israel adventure will be an action-packed trip designed especially for families with children and a Bar/Bat Mitzvah service will be an integral part of the itinerary. We will hike the mountain fortress of Masada, swim in the Dead Sea, explore Jerusalem’s Old City, and celebrate together as our children read from the Torah in the place where it was written thousands of years ago. This trip is not only for families with a child becoming bar/bat mitzvah.  All families are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Many people have expressed interest in their son or daughter becoming Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Israel.  To learn more about the trip and the possibility of having your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Israel, please join us for an Information Session on Sunday, May 21st at 9:00 am in the Beit Knesset. If you have questions about the trip in general, or want to know more about preparing your child for a bar or bat mitzvah in Israel, please contact Rabbi Miller at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 925-283-8575.
