Our L’dor Vador Circle is comprised of members that sustain our community by donating generously when they complete their annual membership commitment, and with additional donations throughout the year. Circle members are honored in various ways, including recognition in our Ruach bulletin and appreciation events throughout the year.

List of Funds
See below for a comprehensive list of the funds to which you can donate. You will need to select one of these funds as you fill out our online donation form.
Adult Education Fund: This fund is to assist Temple Isaiah in securing speakers for informal adult programming.
Angel Network: This fund is to assist our congregants at times of need.
Annual Appeal: Donations are applied to the annual budget in a given fiscal year.
Anshei Isaiah: Donations support our brotherhood Anshei (men of) Isaiah.
Building Fund: Donations to this fund are used for capital improvements to the Temple property-either in the form of repairs or purchases to upgrade the buildings and grounds. This fund is also the vehicle by which the mortgage is paid. Contributions to help reduce the mortgage (above the $300 a year mandatory contribution) can be made to this fund.
Cantor Korn’s Music Fund: This fund enables the cantor and the congregation to engage professional musicians for special services and to acquire new sheet music for the Temple’s Music Library.
Cantor Ted Cotler Library Fund: Books, periodicals, and videotapes are purchased from this fund, as well as other items required to maintain the high quality of library services.
Carlene Berman Memorial Fund: Donations to this fund provide for flowers for the sanctuary foyer and enable the Buildings and Grounds committee to purchase the plant materials needed to enhance our landscape.
Charles Emold Fund: Donations to this fund provide for Temple Isaiah’s High Holy Days children’s program.
Daniel Baron Fund: Income from the investments of this fund will be spent on programs which feed hungry people in the Bay Area.
Eric Zwerling Israel Youth Scholarship Fund: Income from the original investments of this fund and additional donations provide scholarships for deserving young people to participate in such URJ programs as Camp Newman and the Confirmation trip to Israel.
Fund for Our Jewish Future: Help us burn our mortgage and build our endowment in honor of Rabbi Roberto D. Graetz.
Gan Ilan Fund: Funds will be used to purchase furniture for Gan Ilan Preschool classrooms.
General Fund: Donations are used to help Temple Isaiah provide programs and services for Temple members each year.
Israel and World Jewry: Funds support our Israel and World Jewry programs and other worthy causes by the committee in consultation with the Temple Isaiah clergy.
Ivy Blum Memorial Fund: Established by her loving family and friends in memory of Ivy Blum, Past President of our Temple Sisterhood (Women of Isaiah). This fund shall be used to provide financial assistance to the primary caretakers of minor children who are unable to discharge their responsibilities due to marital status or health conditions. The fund will be administered by the rabbis of the congregation.
Jacob M. Tarkoff Gan Ilan Scholarship Fund: The Jacob Michael Tarkoff Gan Ilan Scholarship Fund is a permanent endowment to remember Jacob’s blessing. The interest earned and additional gifts towards Gan Ilan Scholarships will be available on a needs basis at the discretion of the Gan Ilan Directors and the clergy of Temple Isaiah.
Kehillat Tzur Hadassah Fund: Kehillat Tzur Hadassah is Temple Isaiah’s sister congregation in Israel. KTH is located in the Judean Hills on the outskirts of Jerusalem whose members are creating a vibrant Reform community dedicated to innovative worship, social action and strengthening the opportunities for non-Orthodox Israelis to enjoy a spritual life in the Jewish homeland.
Memorial Plaque Fund: $500 each in memory of a loved one. Donation helps provide for all programs and services for Temple members and the community.
Prayer Book Fund: This is our only means of providing new siddurim (prayer books) and chumashim (torahs) for the sanctuary. While donations of any amount are gratefully received, donor inscriptions in the books are available for the amount of $50 per book.
New High Holy Day Bookplates: Show gratitude for someone in your life or pay tribute to a loved one’s memory by honoring them on a bookplate in our new High Holy Day prayer books. Project Hearth Fund: This fund is used by the Project Hearth committee to assist SHELTER, INC in caring for the homeless of the area with food, housing, clothing or just to make their lives a little less bleak.
P’tach Libeynu Fund: P’tach Libeynu (Open our Hearts) is the program sponsored by Temple Isaiah in partnership with all Contra Costa synagogues and the Jewish Federation of the Greater East Bay designed to decrease the stigma of mental illness by welcoming those affected by mental illness and their family members and friends to social and educational programs and facilitated support groups.
Rabbi Greninger’s Discretionary Fund: This fund enables Rabbi Greninger to assist with any need that comes to her attention: a financial problem, scholarships and special programs. Many are helped with the monies donated to this fund.
Rabbi LeVine’s Discretionary Fund: This fund enables Rabbi LeVine to assist with any need that comes to his attention: a financial problem, scholarships and special programs. Many are helped with the monies donated to this fund.
Rabbi Miller’s Discretionary Fund: This fund enables Rabbi Miller to assist with any need that comes to her attention: a financial problem, scholarships and special programs. Many are helped with the monies donated to this fund.
Rabbi Shanks’ Discretionary Fund: This fund enables Rabbi Shanks to assist with any need that comes to her attention: a financial problem, scholarships and special programs. Many are helped with the monies donated to this fund.
Education & Youth Fund: To purchase non-budgeted items, subsidize programs and aid students at the discretion of the Director of Education and Youth Rabbi and approval of appropriate committee chairs.
ViA Isaiah Values in Action Fund: Money from this fund is to be used by the social action committee for implementation of projects related to their programs.
Steps for Tzedakah Fund: Donations to this fund are used for the annual Steps for Tzedakah project.
Turkey Drive Fund: Funds are sent directly to the Contra Costa Food Bank to purchase holiday meals for the hungry.
Tzedakah Box Fund: Funds that are collected in the sanctuary tzedakah box are distributed to worthy causes every quarter by the Social Action committee and the Temple Isaiah clergy.
Waldenberg Youth Leadership Fund: In memory of Rabbi Solomon and Shulamit Waldenberg, donations to this fund will enable our Rabbis to underwrite expenses connected with developing leadership skills and experiences to our Temple’s young adults.
Winter Nights Fund: Donations to this fund are used for the Winter Nights rotating shelter program.
Women of Isaiah: Funds are distributed to worthy causes by the Women of Isaiah in consultation with the Temple Isaiah clergy.
