Welcome to Temple Isaiah - Your Jewish Neighborhood

Temple Isaiah is more than a synagogue – it’s a Jewish Neighborhood! As the oldest and largest congregation in Contra Costa County, our roots lie deep in a uniquely Californian, vibrant approach to Jewish tradition and innovation. We are proud members of the Union for Reform Judaism and are inclusive of interfaith, L.G.B.T.Q., and members with special needs and all abilities. Our award-winning clergy team includes our senior rabbi and cantor, associate rabbi focusing on youth, teens and families, and assistant rabbi focusing on social action and social justice. They lead us in prayer on Shabbat, including Mussar and Meditation, and during Jewish holidays, including the high holy days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, as well as Sukkot, Chanukah/Hanukkah, Purim, Passover, and more. Our clergy offer pastoral care and lead trips to Israel, and life-cycle events including baby naming, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, funerals and memorial services. Temple Isaiah offers life-long learning opportunities through our preschool, Hebrew school, Sunday school, youth groups, teen school and adult education. We also offer Jewish summer camp programs. We know there is a place for you in our community. Join us!
