Search the Web Using GoodSearch and Support Temple Isaiah

GoodSearch is a World Wide Web search engine powered by Yahoo that donates 50% of its revenues to the charities you designate. By specifying Temple Isaiah as your charity of choice, you can help raise money for the Temple whenever you search the Web. When you visit for the first time, select “Who Do You GoodSearch For?” and enter Temple Isaiah as your choice. You can add the GoodSearch tool bar to your screen and make GoodSearch your “home page” when you log on to the Web. Temple Isaiah will earn about 1 cent for each search you perform via good search (not including video, images, and news searches).

RSS Feeds, URJ Resources Now Available

Two new features have been added to the Temple Isaiah website, RSS feeds and resources from the Union for Reform Judaism.

RSS feeds allow you to subscribe to receive updates to various Temple Isaiah website pages automatically. If you’re new to RSS feeds (RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication,” by the way), you can learn more by watching this video. If you use the browsers Firefox, Safari, Opera or Internet Explorer 7, you can subscribe to feeds directly from within the browser. Alternatively, you can set up accounts online with free tools like Google Reader or NewsGator Online. There is also software available for subscribing to RSS feeds.

RSSRSS feeds are currently available for Temple news, the Shabbat Shalom column, Anshei Isaiah and Women of Isaiah. You’ll find the feeds on each page, identified by the icon at the left.

You can find a variety of resources from the Union of Reform Judaism on the Worship, Bar/Bat MItzvah, News, Library, Temple Life, Israel and Tikkun Olam pages. These links are housed in the right-hand sidebar and clearly identified by a URJ-related label. The content includes everything from World Jewish News to Bar and Bat Mitzvah resources.

Photo Gallery Added to TI Website

GalleryTemple Isaiah is pleased to announce the addition of a photo gallery to the Temple Isaiah website. Photos are organized into albums, making it easy to see images of events and activities around our synagogue.

Currently, two albums are available, one from September’s Mitzvah Day 2007 and one containing images from our Gan Ilan preschool. More photos will be added shortly.

A special thanks to Michael Fox for contributing his excellent photographs to the gallery.

To visit the photo gallery, just click the “Gallery” link in the website’s main navigation bar.
